Ok, this is funny.

I got this forward today from someone in the office:

WHY CAN'T THE DUMB  POLITICIANS COME UP WITH SOLUTIONS LIKE THIS?

A win win win situation:

1.    Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.

2.    Use the dirt from the moat to raise the levies in New Orleans.

3.    Relocate the Florida alligators to the moat.

Any other problems you would like me to solve?

And for the record, no I am not suggesting this literally. It just made me laugh when I read it.

Happy Thoughts

I don't like when my blog is negative, even out of necessity.  Thus, today I'm not going to talk about PCOS and diet issues, despite the fact that they are weighing heavily on my mind.  And my heart.  And my stomach.  I'm just going to show you a sweet picture of my favorite baby.

Easter, part 3.  Lou got Jake and I some GREAT Easter baskets (mine can double as a craft-stuff holder, was full of chocolate, AND had a note from the Easter bunny that he is NOT trying to make me fat!  SO FUNNY.)

Easter, part 1.

for those of you new to my life, the chick in the bottom picture with me is my best friend, the girls are hers, the boy is mine.  Good times.  :o)  More to come later.

Lorien at 16 days.

We went over yesterday for a visit (ok, and another excuse to go to Panera and McD's for take-out.  LOL.)  She looks so sweet in the light green!  She was making some hilarious faces -- she wasn't real thrilled with me and my flash.  (You think that's bad?  Last night sitting on the couch I was trying to get Jake to look at me so I could see if his nose was bleeding, and I said "Jake honey, look at me," and he raised his chin and said "CHEESE!"  I didn't have a camera.)

 

 

My favorite pictures from this weekend.

Thursday night I visited Prisclla at her house.  Friday night/Saturday morning I kept the two older girls (for a slumber party! LOL.)  Here are my favorite pics from those days.

 
Lorien at 12 days old.

Aowyn has this crazy, wispy hair that's always in her eyes.  She takes out clips, but sometimes leaves in hairbands.  So I tried to get it under control a bit.  Seriously, I was laughing so hard at this.  She's SO CUTE.

Do you know how hard it is to get 3 kids these ages to sit still for a picture?  (Ok, it was MY child we had the most trouble with.)  They were having SO much fun with these sunglasses.

Well, I uploaded over 125 pictures last night, and not a single one of them was an awesome picture of Jake.  But I DID get these great pictures of Jennifer and Priscilla's kids, so it wasn't a total loss.  LOL.

First, the twins -- they are getting SO BIG.  And yes, they are NOT identical.  They don't look like twins.  They don't even look like neighbors.  (ha ha.)  And then their big brother Ryan.

And then there's Aowyn and Elauna.  They crack me up.

And I know you've been wanting to see another picture of the beautiful baby, so here she is!  (9 days old!  She was asleep, so this is the best I can do right now.  LOL.)

Welcome, Lorien!!!

Priscilla was scheduled to be induced today, but she ended up having Lorien yesterday!  She was 8 pounds even, I think 20.5 inches.  She has dark hair and beautiful blue eyes, just like her two big sisters.  Here are a couple pictures I took of her today.
