In Search of Myself

Pretend I sent you this.

My mom had me throw together this 4x6 Christmas photo to include in her Christmas cards.  Me, I don't have time/energy/money for stamps to get together the production that is sending Christmas cards.  It's not that I don't love you all dearly, it's just I am lucky to get out of bed each morning, shower occasionally, and wash my laundry once a week.  Extras like sending random cards?  Not so much.

Just look at it this way: think about how much paper I saved.  It's not about laziness, it's about being green!  (ha.)

P.S. about the pictures: this is the only picture I have of Kathy from this year where she's actually smiling, and I have not seen Mary this year, thus no pictures.  Kathy's roommate has a picture of Mary she's supposed to send me, but she hasn't.  WTH, Leslie?  :)

Yesterday Jake randomly said "Hmm.  Let's see what's in my wallet."

I look up from the couch to see him opening his McQueen wallet.

Then he says "Oh, nothing in there.  No bucks!"

I kept watching him, with a motherly "oh really" look on my face.

He turns to me and says "Maybe you could give me some.  Money."

bwah ha ha ha.

me: Jake, do you think you'd want to take lessons in like karate or marshall arts?

Jake: what's that?

me: like fighting like the Ninja Turtles.

Jake: but I can already do that.

me: no, but like learning how to REALLY do it.

Jake: BUT I ALREADY CAN!

same thing for playing the piano:

me: Jake, do you want to learn how to play the piano?

Jake: I ALREADY CAN!
