President Bush had this to say yesterday about stem-cell research:
"I made it clear to Congress and to the American people that I will not allow our nation to cross this moral line. Destroying human life in the hopes of saving human life is not ethical. And it is not the only option before us."
. . .
Funny, that's why I'm opposed to the war.
Amen, sister!
Comments like these make me think he must be so lucky that he's never had a loved one be affected by a genetic condition that has the potential for cure through stem cell research.

You know I love ya, but I had to post a conservative voice ;-)
Destroying life at the beginning stages is different than a soldier dying in a war. There is no draft, every soldier enlisted knowing of the possibility of combat.
This war is definitely sad and tragic I know. I don't want our soldiers dying either. But I do think the issues are very different.
Don't dis-inherit me as your friend, k? ;-)

totally agree that this is an ironic statement. It really hits home when you know the fallen soldiers personally. Someone needs to stop the insanity!

And that's just one more reason I love you.
