First, I never did write about our anniversary last week.
Lou and I went to Spiderman 3 after work on Friday -- the movie was pretty good. Lots of fighting, too many plot lines to tie up at the end, in Lou's mind. But a good movie. Would have been better were we not surrounded by kids and teenagers coming to the 4:15 matinee after school. On opening night. (Is it sad that groups of kids annoy me? You know, being a mother and all.)
Then we went to the Cheesecake Factory, which was a lot of fun -- except for all the teenagers everywhere as we were waiting for a table. I had never been to CF, so it was good to finally see what everyone was talking about. I got Oreo cheese-cake. Good stuff. Oh, and we got stuck in seriously a torrential downpour on the way home. Crazy Tennessee weather.
I still need to post a pictures of the earrings Lou got me, they're SO pretty. (Umm, note to self: also need to WEAR the earrings. I've been so used to wearing no jewelry at all since Jake was born, I keep forgetting that it's an option!)
Lou and Jake planted some flowers in the flowerbed by the front porch this week, and Jake's so excited about them. He loves to go out there and water flowers, so now there's lots more. The bushes Lou put in started blooming last week and they're a really pretty purple bloom.
Priscilla abandoned me to go to Maryland again. Apparently seeing family and old friends and spending quality time with your hubby while he's on a business trip is more important than staying in the same state as your best friend on the off chance that she'll have the energy to get off her butt and go somewhere with you. WHATEVER, PRISCILLA! (hee hee.)
Wednesday nights have turned into pizza night -- I bribe my mom to bring Jake to me and meet me at my house as I'm getting home from piano lessons, since Lou is working a lot and not able to get him anymore on Wednesdays. So mom and I sit there and watch Bones and American Idol. I finally really see why my mom has liked Jordin so much from day 1, and I do think that she IS this year's American Idol, but Melinda still has my loyalty simply because I know her and I've never met Jordin. (hee!)
Raise your hand if you're excited about The Office and Grey's tonight! Only 2 episodes left of each this season! THEN what in the world am I going to obsess about on Thursdays?! Netflicks is looking more and more like a good deal.
And lastly, I finally made a scrapbook page of that picture from last month that I love so much.
