I was lazy this Easter. I didn't buy myself a new outfit. I didn't even bother figuring out what to wear until Easter morning -- and I remembered I had a purple outfit I'd worn to a wedding two years previous that I hadn't worn since. Score. I didn't buy Jake new clothes. Luckily, the weather was chilly, and long pants and a long shirt was appropriate -- so I put him in his little Christmas suit. If the weather had been warm, I would have just thrown khaki shorts and a polo shirt on him. I'm all for dressing up for church, but I don't buy into the whole you HAVE to buy new, fancy clothes every year for Easter thing. Maybe it's just me.
Now on a side note, HOW CUTE do Jake and his buddy Ryan look, standing next to each other?! I can't believe these kids will turn FIVE in the coming year! (Ryan in July, Jake in Sept.)
I'm so with you on the clothes thing. The most I'll do here lately is buy a new top or something that works with something I already have. We're not dress-up type people so I like to buy the kids the little $5 Old Navy or Target holiday tees and we're good to go! Simplicity at its finest. :)
