Ok, first of all . . . how cute are these pictures? (my mom took them a few weeks ago.)
Second, I need for you to tell me I'm not crazy. I think that the bike needs the seat and handle-bars raised, because Jake is getting bigger and when he rides it, the bike actually looks like a little circus bike a clown would ride. Yes? No? Am I insane? My mom thinks it's fine.
Oh, and as long as we're talking size, Jake still weighs 52 pounds and when we measured him in Sunday School this week, measured 47 inches tall.
Yeah, Dylan is about half that size (lol) and we just got him a 20" bike for his bday. Jay is riding a bike about the size of the one Jake's on right now... :)

Yeah, the bike looks really small :) The legs should be almost straight when pushing the bottom pedal down. It actually looks like he needs to go up to the next size bike, that one looks really small. My daughter is 4 1/2 and is 33 lb and has the bike a size bigger than that with training wheels. It is actually easier for them with a bigger bike. Cute pics!

I agree. His leg should be straight while pushing down. The other leg should be right at a 45 degree angle. He also needs a properly fitted skid lid. If you buy me a 29er, I will let you ride my other bike and we can go trekking together.
