I took Jake to the doctor this morning, totally not expecting that. I wanted to get something stronger for his cough, because nothing was working on it, and to ask if he's ok to be around people. The doctor looked in his ears just as part of the exam, and said they're infected. Jake hasn't said ANYTHING about them hurting, at all. So I'm glad I took him and we caught it before it got bad. The doc said that the same drainage that's been causing his cough caused the ear infection, and the antibiotics will clear both up. Also, he's fine to be around people as long as he doesn't cough right on them. Which means we ARE going to Kentucky for Thanksgiving with Lou's family, rather than staying home with mac & cheese.
So I have an hour before his meds are ready anyway (Walgreens is a bit backed up today) and we both need to shower/bathe, I have to pack, and then clean/load the car. Why am I blogging instead? Because I don't FEEL like packing!!!! But ok, I guess I should.
We'll be in Kentucky until Friday afternoon. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'll leave you with the same thoughts I always post for Thanksgiving, something I wrote in college (click to enlarge for easy reading):
Hope Jake is on the road to recovery! Have a fabulous Thanksgiving!

Hey hey! If you two had stayed home, I would have cooked something other than mac and cheese. Enjoy your trip. Dear.
