Ok, first of all, yes I let my kid paint on himself. He's tactile defensive and normally touching ANYTHING wet and sticky (or it touching him) sends him into a total freak-out. So he's pushing some boundaries and experimenting and having fun. That's cool. (And he still kind of freaks out eventually -- it's like in the midst of having fun he doesn't notice, but then a light switch flips and he has to be cleaned up NOW.)
Anyway. Two new funny stories.
I have this pair of pink thong sandals that I got this summer for when we swim or for when I'm too lazy to wear real shoes. (Yes, because it's SO much extra effort to put my feet into my leather sandals.) I never wear shoes longer than I have to, so the second I walk into a house I step out of them.
I was at my mom's to pick up Jake and had stepped into the kitchen to make a cup for him for the way home. I hear my mom in the living room telling Jake not to put on my sandals. His reply:
"These my mom's shoes. We share EVERYTHING."
ha ha ha ha. I guess he HAS been listening to those lectures about sharing!
. . .
and
. . .
Sunday morning:
Jake, what do you want for breakfast?
Chocolate
Dude, you can NOT have chocolate for breakfast.
Ok, then, I want lunch.
Ha ha ha ha . . . now that's thinking! Goober
OMG I LOVE HIM! :)

He is delightful and hilarious. Maybe someday I'll get to meet him. I don't think I've ever told you this, but I have fairly regular dreams about coming to visit you. Maybe if I can ever afford it, I'll come and see you.

What a smart little kid Jake is !(of course, I'm sure you are already aware of that, huh?)
Cuteness overload of the paint picture, too!
