I had a Starbucks date (Priscilla, don't be jealous!) with a new digi-friend that I found at DigiShopTalk.com -- we were talking about locations and found out we lived like a mile away from each other. (Good stuff!) A few weeks ago we had an early dinner at a mexican restaurant down the road and got to know each other -- she had actually been introduced to digital scrapbooking in the first place through my DigiScrappin with Jen blog. So that's fun! After our first meeting, I e-mailed her to tell her I had fun, and said " (And I hope you didn't think I'm COMPLETELY crazy. LOL.)" She wrote back and said "Nope, don't think you're COMPLETELY crazy--only a BIT crazy. LOL." ha ha ha. My reply to that? "well you know . . . I prefer friends who freely admit and accept that I AM a bit crazy. So good answer. LOL"
Anyway, after working all day, teaching a piano lesson, and commuting back to our county, it was nice to just sit and drink a frapp. and eat a cookie and just TALK 100 miles a minute with someone who GETS the whole digi-scrapping thing. I even lent her a book that I have to review for my site so she could read it and tell me what she thinks. It's nice to have extra help on these things! (Priscilla and her hubby read it, too. LOL. It's pretty random . . . I'll tell you about it soon.)
When we were getting ready to go, I still had 1/2 a cookie left (because a. I shouldn't be eating an entire big cookie AND drinking a frapp, my blood sugar was already going through the roof, and b. it wasn't GOOD enough to eat the whole thing and waste all those calories.) I wrapped it up in a napkin and said I would give it to Jake.
She said "Oh, you're such a good mom to save some of your cookie for him!" Then she looked at her dessert, which was gone, and said "Oh well, I just won't tell the kids I had anything." heh.
I suppose I'll only be a little jealous. I think the last time I sat INSIDE Starbucks was when it opened. ;-)
Glad you had a great time!
