So now in addition to Thomas the Train, Jake is obsessed with Bob the Builder. The videos have grown on me and it's not COMPLETELY annoying to watch them now. Jake likes to mutter "ROCK and ROLL" like the steamroller, and when he's playing independently I often hear him saying "Can I build it? Yes, I can!" (Good for self-esteem, I guess!)
He actually gets some building experience over at Nana's house. Just the other day I found Jake with Nana and Grand-dad in the back yard, building a lattace fence around the garden. Jake was totally helping with it. (He helps Nana in the garden, too, and I'm so glad. I think it's important for kids to understand that stuff . . . you know, that food comes from the earth? not the grocery store?)
Anyway, last night, Jake was telling me about all sorts of random things. In the midst of his babbling, he said "I'm gonna be big like you. And I'm gonna build a house . . . I NEED MY TOOLS!"
bwah ha ha ha.
Oh yes! Welcome to Bob the Builder world! We have tools all around with a hard hat and tool belt that talks! We even have all the little vehicles, some talk and others come apart to build different. Nathan likes tools so much he asked the Easter Bunny for a tree trimmer/grass cutter. We even have Bob in lego's!! I would rather watch Bob the Builder than Thomas. Thomas kind of bores me. It's all good though. Well, until he "fixes" something else he shouldn't......

Too cute! I can't believe how big Jake is getting - and he's right, he's gonna be tall like his momma. :)
Love all these pages you've been doing. They are beautiful!
Sending hugs your way.
