Last night as I was trying to put Jake to bed, he forgot something and wanted me to go downstairs and get it. "YOU go get it," I said.
"I need you come with me," he said. "I'm scared." (he says this just to be goofy and to make me go everywhere with him.)
"Jake, I'm tired of you saying you're scared of everything. You're three years old, you're NOT scared."
"How old are you?"
"I'm 27."
"No, *I* 27, YOU 3 . . . HA HA HA I said the wrong kid."

it's so cute when they start 'getting' humor. My son is into making up jokes that really aren't even funny, but he cracks himself up so much that we end up laughing our guts out, which totally encourages him to keep making 'em up...

oh...here's a sample of Chandler's jokes. 'Knock knock. Who's there? Pickle. Pickle who? Pickle banana' (I totally don't get it either) :)
