After we drove home from work on Friday afternoon, Lou went off to get pizza and run some "errands," while I went to pick Jake up from mom's house. Lou had told me a week or two ago that he was looking into the D70 and thinking about getting it for me, so I was thinking "AWESOME -- I don't have to save up for it, and I'll have it in time for Christmas! Rock on!"
Jake and I got home first, and as Lou brought the pizza in a little later, he said "So when do you want that camera, anyway?" Jokingly, I said "Oh, right now." He looked at me, picked his car keys, and went back outside. He came in carrying a box. LOU BOUGHT ME MY DREAM CAMERA.
Not only that, he bought me a ONE GB memory card for it, which will hold 530 high quality pictures. FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY. Think about that for a second, people!!!!
Needless to say, Lou is my favorite person in the world right now. He told me this covers Christmas, my birthday, Valentine's day, AND our anniversary this year. I am SO on board with that. I would much rather get the best present EVER right now and have fun with it all year than to get random little stuff (not that he doesn't do a good job picking out random little stuff.)
Don't ever believe people when they say good photographs aren't about the camera you have, that it's the person taking the picture. Screw that. It's the camera, people.
Ok, so here are a few pictures I took today -- this is going to freaking ROCK.
