So I pulled a muscle in my back (note to self: don't carry a 41 pound 3 year old, no matter how whiny he is or just because you forgot to bring his shoes with you. Let the kid walk.) Anyway, it's hurt since Friday, REALLY BAD (is starting to get better, I think), so I was pretty useless this weekend. Lou cooked me THREE MEALS yesterday. Pancakes for breakfast, a roast and potatoes and carrots for lunch, grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup for dinner. As my mom would say, he gets an E for effort. Here Lou is reading Jake "The Giving Tree," by Shel Silverstein. It's one of Lou's favorite children's books. Jake will sit still much longer for Lou to read to him (and actually be quiet and listen!) than when I read to him. Later I was trying to get Jake to go to bed, and he grabbed a book and ran toward Lou's office. (Lou was already in bed.) I said "Jake, go to bed," and he said "But daddy like this book." heh.
cute kide you got there!

Hope you're feeling better soon! A cute father/son picture! Priceless! What a great hubby to do meals. Ken will cook, BUT how it will taste-we never know. THe boys won't eat if Ken has cooked. I won't eat if Ken has cooked.

huh...i'm still carrying Boy around, and he is 6 and weighs 70 lbs. Maybe it IS all muscle, after all...like those fat female gym teachers we used to have? Remember 'em? With the big bellies, and they'd say, "It's all muscle?" ...hope I"m not the only one who had those teachers.

No, GREAT DADDY. And I love The Giving Tree. So much so that I often give it as a gift. :)
