Ok, so I was going through my million and four things to do tonight to get ready for our trip in the morning. One item to cross off my list was dump the current pics on the camera up to the computer so I'd have a fresh start tomorrow (you know, 'cause I only have like 230 pictures to last me for the weekend!) So I just uploaded the ones I took last night while I was trying to get Jake to wind down for bedtime. I'm happier with my new camera than my old one, but it pales in so many ways in comparison to what I know I can do with the D70, so I was a little annoyed because these things are really standing out to me these days (I HATE the delay between taking a picture and being able to take another.) Anyway, I had switched from regular shooting mode to close-up -- I think it's actually on like extreme close-up, not even portrait close-up. And this is one of the pictures I got, straight out of the camera -- I haven't touched it for editing except for size. Jake was sitting on my lap and turned to look at me and I snapped the pic at just the right moment. And I know it's going to take forever and a day to upload from my stupid dial-up, but I don't care -- I think I have a new favorite. ;o)
