So I had my camera out this weekend, and when I take Jake's picture he still says "'Gin? 'Gin?" (Again.) Finally after taking dozens of pictures of him, I say "Should we take a picture of you and me?" And Jake replies "Yeah! Yeah!" I'm sitting on the couch, so I pull him onto my lap. "Are you ready?" I ask. "Yeah! Yeah!" the kid says. And this is the picture we got. (Click on it to "make it pop.") Jake looks a lot less than thrilled, but I promise we were having fun. And dude, I have a LOT of moles (I swear they're not zits. I even edited out a couple moles because it was too much. heh.) And my nose looks freakishly mis-shapen. And Jake's head looks as big as mine. Wait, no, in real life it IS as big as mine, so that part's not weird. But still, even when I take weird pictures like this, I resist the urge to delete, and I keep them -- because years from now, this is going to be one that I love. (Even though right now I think we both look goofy.)
You are SOOOO going to love this picture years from now. I love it Jen! You are both super cute and looks like a lot of fun!

What a fun pic Jen! You will look back and smile at those type of photos, more so than the professional pics. I love it!
Sorry you're sleepy. You DO try to do too much, girl :) How are your wrists this week??

An adorable picture of you both, Jen! I love those spur of the moment poses like that -- usually much more genuine looking than some of the professional ones!

The pic is adorable and you are right! You will love this so much in years to come! It is just the realness of it. I have done the same thing and kept the "outtake" type of shots just because it does evoke some great memories!

These are the best kind of pictures. I have one like this with Collin & I when he was just a year old. It's still my favorite.
