So Maria Montessori was unbelievably trail-blazing in terms of how we think about teaching children - her child-led, child-centered approach is SO healthy for young kids. I'm a huge fan of her philosophy and the materials used in Montessori schools.

Which is why I'm seriously excited about my best friend's new endeavor. She's been in the Montessori program at Belmont for the last two years, and just received an American Montessori Society primary certification.

This fall she's opening a Montessori enrichment program in Murfreesboro which is in Rutherford County, where I live! La Vergne, Smyrna, and Murfreesboro are all right next to each other, and her location is a quick trip for any of these towns.)
