9-19-09 Chuck E. Cheese
The kids and I get a kick out of the photo booth at Chuck E. Cheese, but I can't ever get them to look INTO the camera. E's looking to the side, J is looking up, and L is looking down. Good times.
P.S. this is my first digital page in quite a while. Has been easier to do paper lately, but these pictures are easier to scan and work with.

Backpack Tags
Some of the kids at school have the same backpack as Jake. And with Jake, who knows what each day might bring . . . I rest easier knowing that he has all his contact information attached to him, should something come up. You can buy these badge holders at Staples or any office supply holder. The tops need to be reinforced for heavy usage (which this picture doesn't show - I used Duck Tape colored duct tape.)
He is picked up from school and never walks anywhere alone, which is why I put his name in plain sight. (Many suggest that your child's name not be visible, so strangers can't call out their name and convince them they are a friend.)
This is a tag I made for my best friend's youngest, who started preschool this year. She has severe allergies, so one tag has her contact info, and one tag has her allergy info, including when to administer Benadryl, and when to administer the Epi Pen.

Dog Day at the Bakery
So my husband's aunt and uncle own a bakery in the adjoining town. And it's a pretty dang good one. It's been open almost two years now, and we're there constantly. (Also, my mom works there, so we're always visiting Nana.)
In addition to selling people food, the bakery sells dog treats. This summer they decided to have kind of a parking lot fair for dogs and their people. It was SOOO much fun to see everyone there with dogs of all sizes - and I mean ALL sizes. 3 pound Chihuahuas and huge dogs that had to be close to 150 pounds. Crazy stuff.
Jake was highly amused by all the goings on - and is obsessed with dogs anyway - so I made him a book of all our new dog friends. :) It's a 7x9 book, ordered from Shutterfly. ---> (View the album at Shutterfly by clicking here.) <--- I left quite a bit of white space around the edges, and have added a black outline for the web images to make them easier to view.

Halloween 2005
I had to crop this photo quite a bit - it was taken at Walgreens on Halloween, and they printed it with a gaudy, loud border. Couldn't do a thing with it. :) This picture hung on my fridge for almost 4 years, and I figured I should put it in an album before we spilled something on it!
