Some of the kids at school have the same backpack as Jake. And with Jake, who knows what each day might bring . . . I rest easier knowing that he has all his contact information attached to him, should something come up. You can buy these badge holders at Staples or any office supply holder. The tops need to be reinforced for heavy usage (which this picture doesn't show - I used Duck Tape colored duct tape.)
He is picked up from school and never walks anywhere alone, which is why I put his name in plain sight. (Many suggest that your child's name not be visible, so strangers can't call out their name and convince them they are a friend.)
This is a tag I made for my best friend's youngest, who started preschool this year. She has severe allergies, so one tag has her contact info, and one tag has her allergy info, including when to administer Benadryl, and when to administer the Epi Pen.
Thanks for posting this Jen!! I felt so guilty for not doing one of this for my son....:( I felt like a useless digiscrapping mom!! LOL, he keeps writing his name on his new bag, and it got erased all the time!!

I used those same badge holders to make my girls backpack tags but never thought to put all that contact info or to use it for all the allergy info too! Very cute tags!
