My friend Cara sent out an e-mail yesterday about being a child of the 70's and 80's. Since I was born in 1979, I don't remember the 70's (although I think I would have really enjoyed them!) So I picked out all of the items on the list that applied to me, changed only one (I didn't watch the movie "The Day After" or whatever, but "Night of the Comet" DID freak me out, so I substituted that one), and put them on a scrapbook page with some pics of me from the 80's. I have a scrapbook just for the ME kind of pages, and I think this is a great addition -- I had forgotten about SO many of these things! And as much as I hate the music and hair (and fashion!) of the 80's, you have to admit, it was a simpler time. (I can't believe I just said that. LOL)
I think what's important when you're doing a layout like this, is to include a note from yourself, as I have done in the pink section. I shared WHERE I got the list, and why the items listed were chosen (what they mean to me.) This whole list makes me laugh so hard, and I can't wait until Jake's old enough to read it and ask me about all the crazy stuff.
(obviously, you will need to click on each page to read larger.)
