Here's a layout (finally) of the April 1st bday party we went to. People who don't belong to me or Priscilla (my best friend) are blurred out. :)
Can I just say that I am DANG proud of myself for getting 12 pictures in the layout? SO EASY with digi!
this is another one of those Jake had a great time and it needs to go in the scrapbook kind of pages. It was just a random thing, hanging out at our house with my mom and his friend, but the kids had more fun then they've had in ages. (It was 3 weeks ago, and he's still talking about it.)
10 pictures, baby. Dude, sometimes I rock. heh.
On Easter after services our church did a portrait of all the members. I think it's pretty cool!
(The photo is on our church's website, so I feel ok about posting it on the net. Anyway, you can't really see anyone's faces clearly. LOL!)
I put this in both the one, AND two photo categories; the bottom photo in this layout is an enlarged section of the photo that my son and I are in, so really I just used one photo.
And for "Focus on Journaling" -- I used the text from an e-mail that announced plans for the photo as part of the journaling. VERY easy way to make sure you get all the facts! :)
Yeah, this would fall under the "real life" category. LOL. I still can't believe that ours was the ONLY house on the street affected this way by the storm. Stupid siding. :) But it's definitely a story that needed to be told; I was very proud of the guys for fixing it themselves.
I'm really on a kick lately of making scrapbook pages FOR Jake -- not for me, not for my internet peeps. Since Jake spends so much time looking at his scrapbooks with me (he calls them magazines -- how cute is that?!) I decided to really make an effort this year to tell the stories that matter to him, the things that are important to HIM. And this is what he's the most excited about right now, so here it is. :)
I loved the page I made yesterday of me & Jake, and I also loved the picture I took of Priscilla and Lorien. So this was really a logical thing to do.
I gave Priscilla a flattened copy of this layout, but without my text. That way she could write whatever she wants about that day. That way it really is a "You & Me" layout. LOL. (click on the link below to see her version.)
HOW COOL is digi-scrapping that all I have to do is switch a photo, one paper, and the text and I have a completely new layout, almost effort-free? Awesome, dude.
